Bleaching and Whitening

Many people have had their teeth bleached, and probably millions more are thinking about it. The desire for a brighter smile with whiter teeth is very strong, and tooth bleaching safely lightens the color of the teeth, lasting for up to five years. The most effective and safest method of tooth bleaching is dentist-supervised.

We offer several bleaching options at our office:

1 - In office 1hour bleaching:  Sapphire Professional whitening offers proven sensitivity – free in-office whitening with the Sapphire plasma arc curing light

  • 12 shades lighter in 1 hour
  • Over 7 shades lighter in 30 minutes
  • No reports of sensitivity

2 - Sapphire Home Whitening Systems – custom tray are worn with bleach material for up to 2 weeks at home, several hours a day.

3 - Deep Bleaching – 3 stage process of a combination of 2 in office bleaching sessions and at home bleaching for 2 to 3 weeks with specially designed trays.  Maybe able to lighten tetracycline stains.

How long does it last?

Lightness should last from one to five years, depending on your personal habits such as smoking and drinking coffee and tea. At this point you may choose to get a touch up. This procedure may not be as costly because you can probably still use the same mouth guard. The retreatment time also is much shorter than the original treatment time.
